The Valley City Civic Orchestra:
After 50 years without a string program of any kind in Valley City, the Community School started a community orchestra in 1997. Originially the orchestra was a chamber orchestra of string players only, but the orchestra has now expanded to include string, brass, woodwind and percussion players.
Attracting members from Valley City and the surrounding communities, the orchestra is a true community group, including school age students, university students, and working adults and retired members of the community. No audition is required to join.
The orchestra meets on Mondays from 7:00 - 8:15 pm in the band room of Foss Hall during the fall and spring semesters; the first orchestra rehearsal for spring semester 2015 will be Monday January 12. Registration materials available on this site. Please contact the orchestra conductor, Dr.James Adams, at 701-845-7271; email@example.com
or the Community School Office at 701-845-7267 or firstname.lastname@example.org
if you need further information.
