Tuition for private music lessons covers 13 lessons per semester, as well as recital rehearsals (varies by teacher) and a recital opportunity.
Tuition is payable in advance. It is assumed that students have enrolled for an entire year of private music lessons upon completion of fall registration paperwork.
Payment for musical activities may be made in two semester installments (due in September and January), or in one payment in September.
Tuition for music ensembles covers the academic year and is payable in one or two installments.
The tuition for group art classes is arranged before each set of glasses begins.
Students will not be allowed to start lessons after the third week of the academic semester, according to the VCSU academic calendar.
Checks should be made out to: VCSU Community School of the Arts or VCSU CSA.
WE DO NOT OFFER SUMMER LESSONS AT THIS TIME.
RECITALS, PERFORMANCE CLASSES, AND OTHER PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
Refunds, credits, or makeup lessons will not be given for lessons, rehearsals, or classes missed or canceled by the student.
If a teacher misses a lesson, however, the instructor will arrange a make-up day with the student.
If VCSU is closed due to severe weather conditions, Community School activities will not be held, and lessons and classes will be made up at the teacher's convenience. Watch tv/radio for VCSU closure announcements.
Recitals will be held in December and April/May.
Community School performance opportunities are designed to help students develop self-confidence, poise, stage presence, and discipline while expressing musical creativity.
